Hospice is Life Giving
When I tell people I’m a Chaplain in hospice, many express their wonder over how I could do such work. They say things like, “I could never do that,” and, “That must be so depressing.” The truth is, it’s the most life giving experience in the world. All of us are going to die, and being able to serve people near death reminds me of how precious my time and life is. It gives me perspective and aligns my priorities. It teaches me to be grateful for the small things in life. When you do hospice work, you just can’t take life for granted anymore.
