Have a Health Care Directive – Jen Blazek
We live in a death-denying society. We avoid talking about it or even thinking about it. However, the best time to start talking about end-of-life decisions is today. It’s a good idea for everyone to have a health care directive and this can be as simple as a “5 Wishes” or “Honoring Choices” document. Having such a document allows a person to define the type of care they want, should they be unable to voice their desires at some point. This ensures the family won’t have to make guesses about their wishes in an already difficult time. The best time to start planning is now.
