Quotes

I have never experienced working in a culture like the one I work in today. Brighton is a bright warm culture that does not settle for sub-standard care. Brighton desires to exceed family, patient, and employee expectations at all times. Brighton gives THE BEST care to patients and families. Brighton takes care of their team members, cares about their input/buy-in, and respects work-life balance. I am honored to work at a place as cozy as this one. It is a privilege to be able to work alongside the most passionate individuals who take care of our patients at the most vulnerable time of their life.

BrendaBrighton Hospice Minnesota

Since becoming part of the Brighton family, I have regained faith in my career as a nurse not just because I have a job, but because of Brighton's culture. Even though I belong to the Wisconsin team, the support and guidance received by other teammates at the other locations have been amazing! Everyone strives to give 100% in everything they do for not only their patients and the families, but for their fellow co-workers. There are not enough words to express my gratitude to Brighton and everything the organization represents.

Brighton Hospice is one-of-a-kind in the hospice and healthcare world. Brighton prioritizes employee development, satisfaction, and success so that their employees can provide the very best care to patients at the end of life. The work culture is supportive, collaborative, and focused on growth, teamwork, and excellence. Clinician caseloads and staffing ratios are excellent compared to standards across the industry. Keeping low caseloads allows our team to provide much needed one-on-one attention to patients and families.

Leadership Training

"Train people well enough so they can leave; treat them well enough so they don’t want to.” —Richard Branson

At Brighton Hospice, we believe each and every one of our team members has the potential to be a great leader.  We see immense value in cultivating the next generation of Brighton leaders!  For this reason, we have created the Leadership in Training (LIT) program.

Brighton’s LIT program provides extensive coaching and mentorship for team members wanting to further their leadership skills. The program contains 5 levels, each requiring a series of tasks and achievements in order to advance to the next level. Team members participating in the LIT program will develop the skills and be provided the tools necessary to achieve their individual and professional goals.

Beyond Brighton

Brighton seeks to continually improve the way we provide care to our patients and their families. We are committed to cultural competence and celebrating not only our similarities, but our differences and what makes us unique.

In pursuing this mission, Brighton partners with “Perillo’s Learning Journeys” to immerse team members in an impactful, patient-care learning experience in India.

Each year, two Brighton team members are chosen to travel to India for a week to learn about their hospice traditions and customs. Team members are immersed in India’s culture in order to gain additional cultural and socioeconomic perspective about how another culture journeys through end-of-life.

This powerful experience provides Brighton team members insight into new ways of caring for patients and their families so that they can navigate peacefully through their hospice experience. This program focuses on resiliency, preventing caregiver compassion fatigue, and tools for stress management.
