Carolyn received a call from her father saying that her mother was being recommend for hospice care. This was a surprise to Carolyn, as she didn’t know her mother was having serious health issues. Carolyn’s father was hesitant about signing his wife up for hospice care, so Carolyn found herself explaining the benefits and cost of hospice to her father, who didn’t know that hospice service is 100% covered by Medicare. Her father did agree to go ahead with the hospice care. Everything went so smoothly that he could hardly believe such a wonderful service existed.
